Phrase 14
If you sympathize with me, give me a RES
It is a parody of the famous phrase "if you sympathize with me, give me money" from the TV drama "Ie Naki Ko" broadcasted in 1994.
An idol on stage during LIVE makes eye contact with a fan or waves her hand. Such responses from idols are called "RES" ("response").
The phrase, "If you sympathize with me, give me a RES", expresses a fan's straightforward wish that, if an idol thinks highly of them, they should express that appreciation with some kind of clear action.
