Let's say together, "Ei ei oh!"
Each Japanese idol has a unique phrase for self-introduction. This is to convey their own character and to have fans remember their name and their face.
Riko Nakayama from Ebichu uses the phrase "Ei ei oh!" to introduce herself. This phrase was originally used by samurai during the Sengoku period in Japan and has the effect of unifying the people around you. It is similar to the phrase "Hip hip hooray" in English.
When Riko Nakayama says "Let's say together, 'Ei ei oh!'" during her live performances, the crowd also shouts "Ei ei oh!" bringing the venue to a frenzy.
